It's snowing in Michigan as we drive. It's a bit worrisome only since we won't want to get screwed up in getting to Detroit prior to the show. As for as time goes, we've got plenty. Since there is time prior to the show there is going to be more of our "time off" being used to conduct business. I've got a mic stand to send back to Washington and a few other things like DVD discs that have some valuable information on them. Some are photos that I'd rather not see for a long time and another is a bicycle key that is needed in order to unlock my bike at my old place.
All of this business will be taken place in Ann Arbor and from what Ryland tells me, that place has enough second hand stores that I'm bound to find some new shirts that actually fit. There's this weird thing where only oversized men donate goods to thrift stores but when I think of it, I hardly donate clothing goods there. Makes sense because it's hard for me to find clothes to replace my old with; It's a vicious cycle.
There are some unplanned expenditures that are going to be taken place in the next couple of days. I'm, first off, running out of hard drive space on my MacBook Pro and I'll either have to spend $200 on a 500GB hard drive or buy a new computer all together. Either way it's going to be tricky as all get out since in both instances I'll have to transfer data from my old hard drive to the new one. I've solicited my friend Craig (you my know him by his list) to help me out with selling my present machine, that which I'm typing on at this moment. Also, I'm engaged in the motion of selling my almost three year old, and beloved, iPod. I'm kind of saddened by this but, realistically, the sentimental value of that machine doesn't keep the hard drive on it from eventually shitting out. Aside from the above mentioned, I'm going to have to invest in a new condenser microphone since I left the other in Denver, Colorado. In any case, the logistics involved with this are incredibly boring and this paragraph should probably be discarded from memory anyway.
It's snowing quite intensely, actually.
We have to be in Connecticut tomorrow before seven or so; this will be a twelve hour drive that will start tonight, maybe an hour after the show is done with. Hopefully the roads won't be snowy and dumb when we decide to proceed with that trek.

I mailed some things off. I sent my dear friend Bryant the key to my bike so he can politely pick it up (thank you Bryant) and I sent i mic stand to my Grandmother's place. I've been trying to figure out what of mine I can send off to lighten the load in the car but when I think about it, I packed pretty lightly. The only thing that's been on my mind, regarding stuff, is my car; which is currently parked in a nice neighborhood in Portland, OR. It has, essentially, all of my things that I had when I lived in Bellingham. I think it will be kind of like a time capsule when I return and I'll probably throw a lot of it away by giving it to Goodwill or something. It's just a lot of stuff I don't use and may not intend to use (actually, when I think about it, I have a lot of paints and canvas in there that I'll probably use. I may be not accounting for all I have in there quite well enough).
Ryland, our friend Lisa, and myself were having dinner last night and we somehow got into a discussion of marching band and Ryland interjected with "You played trumpet? You could have been playing trumpet for me, that would be rad!" and to this I mentioned that I also at one point played the Baritone and that it would be a much better accompaniment. So, at some point, I'm going to possibly purchase a baritone and hopefully we'd be able to stow it away in the autocoach. Maybe I could sit on it.

So... Apparently the Detroit show wasn't set up properly. Big bummer but I guess we'll get a head start on our 12 hour drive?
Yeah. Anyway:
