So far the accumulation of audio recording equipment is pretty much done. I've bought a mixing board, three microphones, three mic cables, and two mic stands. I'm almost ready to start recording whatever but all I need is for brother Peach to hand over some "software information" to me so I may be able to start utilizing Logic 8. I'm going to try to start recording some of my own stuff but will most likely retain it on my hard drive. My friend, Peter, has been recording material but I am unsure as to how he's doing this. I'm most likely going to propose the notion of him recording his stuff at my house so he A) has a reason to visit and B) so he can record better material.
Javier and I have been recording our material for years through the built in mic on my computer and since I started doing that I've had the hankering to acquire better recording tools. This would have been a lot nicer to have these tools back in the 321 days especially for when Phil, Calvin, Adrian, Lake, Pine Hill Haints, and the various shows that Lions & Eagles played at 321. The quality from my laptop isn't bad but it still could be tons better and now it can be. I've saved enough money from doing this equipment purchasing from Craigslist that it's been well worth it.
As far as art goes; the house is an art project. I actually should intend it to be more of an art gallery for my bored walls. The house I'm living in is, I think, huge for the five people that live in it. The kitchen ceiling is the same height as three of my clones standing on shoulders and it's full of cupboards that I could hide immigrants in from the USCIS. There are a few things that aren't so great about the house though.
- It's cold and lonely waking up in the morning.
- The pantry doesn't have a light in it.
- We can't have parties. We can have gatherings though.
That's pretty much it. There's a slough of good things about it like the kitchen being huge enough to host a feast, the sinks and bathtub are old-school, there is plenty of room to put things (too much room), and I can probably plant some stuff on the side of the house. I'm just super excited about cooking, which I've been doing a lot of and I'm planning to do more.
My drawing desk is set up and ready to be used but I just have to get some time to draw. I've been quite busy lately.
